LOONA, or 이달의 소녀 (translating to "Girl of the Month"), is a 12 member kpop group under the company Blockberry Creative. They are known for their unique debut process, where each member was revealed with their own solo album and MV, starting in October 2016 all the way through June 2018. They also have 3 subunits: LOONA 1/3, ODD EYE CIRCLE, and yyxy. The full group debuted in August 2018 with their first mini-album [+ +]. They didn't get their first music show win until 2020 with their song "So What", and have since gotten 3 more with their songs "PTT" in 2021 and "Flip That" in 2022.

I discovered LOONA in their "Butterfly" era in 2019 and instantly connected to their music. I listened to their whole discography, but didn't look much more into them beyond their spotify page until about a year later in the "Why Not" era, setting myself on the journey to becoming the superfan I am today.
